New Krav Maga Self Defence Program

We are excited about opening a Krav Maga Self-Defense Program with Coach Mitchell on May 9th, 2023 (ages 15+).  With the growing incidents of violence in our High Schools, public transportation and public spaces, knowledge of practical self-defense has become more important than ever.  Mitchell is an amazing coach and holds a Black Belt in Krav Maga.  Mitchell has been a dedicated member of MNBJJ for almost 10 years and has become an important coaching staff member.  We are honoured to have him teach his art of self-defense at our gym.  Mitchell will be running his Krav Program on the following days:

Tues: 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Tues: 8:30 pm – 9:30pm
Thurs: 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Thurs: 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm

For those who might not know what Krav Maga is, here is some information:

Krav Maga is a self-defense system that originated in Israel. It was developed in the 1930s by Hungarian-Israeli martial artist Imi Lichtenfeld, who drew on his experiences as a boxer, wrestler, and street fighter to create a practical and effective fighting style that could be used by anyone regardless of size, strength, or athletic ability.

Krav Maga emphasizes practical techniques that are easy to learn and apply in real-world situations, including striking, grappling, and weapons defense. It also emphasizes mental toughness and situational awareness, teaching students to identify and avoid potential threats before they escalate into physical confrontations.

Krav Maga has become popular worldwide and is used by military and law enforcement agencies, as well as civilians who want to learn practical self-defense skills.
