We hope that you are well. As more of the country continues to re-open, we are busy planning and determining the specifics of how we will re-open, what programs will look like, what safety measures need to be implemented, and a whole lot more. At this point, we have the majority of our re-opening plan completed, as outlined in the Returning from COVID document we sent you. We are hoping to open the gym within the next 4 weeks. This is based on the re-opening requirements we are seeing around the province for gyms, as well as how similar businesses are re-opening. We are taking into consideration all regulations and understand that we may need to make some additional changes once Ontario releases the requirements for gyms to reopen. Some of the many things that we will be implementing are cleaning and disinfecting between EVERY class, setting up hand sanitizer stations, clearing the academy between each class, use of no touch thermometers, limiting the number of students per class, reducing the length of classes, and taping off/designating individual training areas that will adhere to the social distancing requirements. The classes will still be broadcasted live on Zoom for students at home. We are also securing a variety of dummies which can be purchased from the gym to assist in training. Our priority has always been and will continue to be the safety of our members, which is why we will be constantly re-evaluating each phase as we want to re-open slowly! Our Online Academy will continue to provide students with the opportunity to train at home.
One of the last major components that we are working on currently is how the schedule will look for the weeks of re-opening. At this point, we are trying to get a gauge on how many of our members will be returning to their training immediately upon our re-opening so that we can ensure that we have enough classes (since class size will be reduced temporarily) for everyone who will be ready to start training again.
